Bradley Garcia was confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia on May 15, 2023.  He previously served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel within the Department of Justice. Prior to that role, Garcia served as a partner in O’Melveny and Myers’ Supreme Court and appellate practice. Garcia served as a law clerk for Justice Elena Kagan on the U.S. Supreme Court and for Judge Thomas Griffith on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Garcia received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2011 and his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 2008. If confirmed, he would be the first Latinx person to serve on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
