  • David Estudillo is a lifelong Washington resident. He was born and raised in Sunnyside, Washington. His parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico in the early 1960s through the Bracero program and ran a family small business in Washington. He earned both his Bachelor’s and his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington.
  • From 1999 to 2015, Estudillo practiced law in Washington. In 2005, he launched his own firm in Moses Lake, Estudillo Law Firm PLLC, which focused on immigration law and civil litigation. The firm represented detained and non-detained clients in front of the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, and also represented people seeking immigration benefits through applications filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • Governor Jay Inslee appointed Estudillo to a vacancy on the Grant County Superior Court in 2015. At the time of his appointment, Estudillo was the only Latino superior, district, or municipal court judge in all of eastern Washington.
    • In 2016, he successfully retained his seat, and his campaign had the unanimous support of all the State Supreme Court justices and over 20 other judges across the state.
    • Estudillo was rated at least “qualified” in every possible category by the Grant County Bar Association.
