 Gina Méndez-Miró was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico on February 14, 2023.

  • Previously, she served as a Judge for Puerto Rico’s Court of Appeals, a role she has had since 2016. Previously, she worked as the chief of staff for the President of the Puerto Rican Senate.
  • From 2010 to 2012 she served as Puerto Rico’s General Counsel in the Office of Court Administration and Director of the Legal Affairs Office. Prior to that, she worked as the Director of Judicial Programs for the Legal Affairs Office.

  • Méndez-Miró received her law degree from the University of Puerto Rico Law School in 2001, M.A. from Princeton in 2000, and B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico in 1996.
