Matthew Brookman was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on March 29, 2023. Previously, he served as a magistrate judge for the Southern District of Indiana, a role he has had since 2016. Prior to that, Brookman worked as the Chief of the Drug and Violent Crime Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana. He received his B.A. from DePauw University in 1990 and his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1993.
