Judge Cristina Silva was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada on March 23, 2022. Previously, she served as a judge for Department IX of Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court since 2019. From 2011 to 2019, Silva was an Assistant United States Attorney in Nevada, and from 2007 until 2010, she worked as an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. She received her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2001 and her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2007.
