Judge Fred Slaughter was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on March 17, 2022. Previously, he served as a judge on the Superior Court of Orange County since 2014. He was previously a prosecutor who served as a Deputy City Attorney in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Arizona, the District of Oregon, and the Central District of California. He received his B.A. from UCLA in 1996 and his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2001.
