Judge John Chun was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington on March 23, 2022. Previously, he served on the Washington Court of Appeals in 2018. Before that, he was a judge on the King County Superior Court and worked in private practice at Summit Law Group; Preston, Gates & Ellis; and Mundt MacGregor. He received his B.A. from Columbia University in 1991 and his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1994, and clerked for Judge Eugene Wright of the Ninth Circuit.
