As part of her work, Bloomekatz argued an Ohio Supreme Court appeal challenging the 112-year sentence of a juvenile defendant on Eighth Amendment grounds.

She also served as counsel for the Biden-Harris campaign.

Before starting her own practice, Bloomekatz was a principal at Gupta Wessler PLLC, another public interest law firm, where she represented Everytown Law, which is the legal branch of Everytown for Gun Safety.

Bloomekatz clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer on the U.S. Supreme Court, Chief Justice Margaret Marshall on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and Judge Guido Calabresi on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
