Brandon Scott Long was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on December 14, 2023.
Previously, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans, a role he had since 2014. Prior to that, Long served from 2020 to 2021 as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. From 2010 to 2014, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Before that, Mr. Long was an associate at King & Spalding L.L.P from 2005 to 2010. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law in 2005 and received a B.B.A. and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999.
