- Kay Behm served as a judge for the Genesee County Circuit and Probate Courts from 2009 to 2022.
- Prior to that, she was a solo practitioner for a year. She was also an associate at Winegarden, Haley, Lindholm, & Robertson and Braun, Kendrick & Finbeiner from 1993 to 2008, where she focused on business litigation and probate law.
- She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1994 and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Albion College in 1991.
- Behm chairs the Domestic Relations Committee of the Michigan Probate Judges’ Association. She also runs the Parent Representation Pilot Project, which provides additional social services and legal representation for parents in child welfare proceedings.
