Judge Camela Theeler was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota on May 16, 2024. She was previously a judge for the Second Judicial Circuit of the South Dakota Unified Judicial System from 2018 to 2024. Previously, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Dakota. Prior to that, Judge Theeler was a partner at Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. from 2008 to 2012. She received her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2000 and her B.A. from the University of South Dakota in 1998.
