Camille Vélez-Rivé was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico on November 30, 2022 . Previously, she served as a Magistrate Judge for the District of Puerto Rico, a role she has had since 2004. Prior to that, she worked as a prosecutor for the District of Puerto Rico. Vélez-Rivé served as a law clerk for Justice Francisco Rebollo-López on the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. She received her J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico Law School in 1993 and her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1989.
