David S. Leibowitz was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on February 27, 2024. Previously, he was corporate counsel for Braman Management Association in Miami, Florida a role he has had since 2012, and Secretary and General Counsel since 2015. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York between 2003 and 2012. From 2001 to 2003, Leibowitz was an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney for Middlesex County in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He clerked for Associate Justice Robert G. Flanders, Jr. on the Supreme Court of Rhode Island from 2000 to 2001. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2000, his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1998, and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
