Ernest Gonzalez was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas on March 22, 2024. Previously, he was Senior Attorney Advisor in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Division, Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section. Prior to that, he worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, the office of the District Attorney in Bexar County. He holds a J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and a B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
