Judge Irma Ramirez was confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on December 4, 2023. Previously, she was a magistrate judge from 2002. Before that, she was an Assistant US Attorney in Texas and an associate at Locke Purnell Rain Harrell, PC. She graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law and West Texas State University.
