Jasmine Yoon was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia on March 12, 2024. From 2022, Jasmine Yoon was the Vice President of Corporate Integrity, Ethics, and Investigations at Capital One Financial Corporation. She previously worked as Interim University Counsel and Associate University Counsel at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and as an associate at Crowell & Moring LLP. She clerked for Judge James C. Cacheris of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. Upon confirmation, Yoon became the first Asian American Article III judge to serve in the state of Virginia.
