Since 2019, Jessica Clarke has served as Chief of the Civil Rights Bureau in the Office of the New York State Attorney General.
From 2016 to 2019, Clarke worked at Emery Celli Brinckerhoff Abady Ward & Maazel, where her practice focused on civil rights and ethics matters.
From 2010 to 2016, Clarke was a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she successfully tried United States v. Town of Colorado City, a first-of-its-kind housing discrimination and police misconduct suit that alleged discrimination based on religion.
Clarke received her B.A. from Northwestern University in 2005 and her J.D. from The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law in 2008. She clerked for Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr. of the Northern District of Ohio.
