Jonathan Grey was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on March 2, 2023. Previously he served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan from 2021. Judge Grey also previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio from 2016 to 2021. Grey served as a law clerk for Judge Damon Keith on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2010 to 2011 and Judge W. Louis Sands on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia from 2009 to 2010. Grey received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2007 and B.S. from Morehouse College in 2004.
