Judge Leon Schydlower was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas on March 22, 2024. Previously, he was a United States Magistrate Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, a role he had from 2015. Prior to that, he worked in private practice at Kemp Smith and as a solo practitioner, at the U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Hawaii, and in the .S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S.Air Force Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
