Rita Lin was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on September 19, 2023. Previously, she served as a judge in San Francisco County’s Superior Court, a role she has had since 2018. Prior to that, Lin worked as an Assistant United States District Attorney for the Northern District of California. Between 2004 and 2018, Lin worked as an associate and partner at Morrison and Foerster LLP. Lin received her B.A. and J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard in 2005 and 2010.
